I am thinking I would like to replace the fork oil in my '97 Savage with a heavier weight oil to reduce the front end diving when braking. It seems to me a bike should have fork oil drain plugs at the lower rear of the fork slider. So I think I would like to drill and tap some holes in my sliders. The problem is; I don't know where to drill to get to the very bottom of the fork tube. If someone has a fork slider off the bike and would measure the depth of the tube and post it I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
